Microsoft Live Maps v2 is out and it knows which country I'm in!
There's a full description of the new features on the MapForums blog - there's a wealth of funky new functionality including pretty effective 3D mapping - you have to download a free client for this feature. I really like the 3D birds eye views and videos.
Something that's not documented though it that I no longer have to keep adding "uk" to the end of each address - this version no longer assumes I'm based in the USA - hurrah!
You can add your own 3D buildings too.
