Microsoft completed its first monthly “Live and Virtualized” LiveMeeting series yesterday, December. 9th, 8:00am PST. The first LiveMeeting topic was titled “Virtualization and Cloud Computing” presented by Mike Neil, general manager of virtualization strategy, Microsoft, Deepak Patil, general manager of communications and storage, Microsoft Global Foundation Services, which hosts the Azure Services Platform, and Dominic Foster, Chief Technology Officer for MaximumASP. During this initial “Live and Virtualized” session, we heard how Microsoft’s virtualization strategy impacts customers’ on-premises and cloud computing IT strategies and how Microsoft and web hoster MaximumASP use virtualization within their datacenters to power their respective services for consumers and businesses.
