Customer increases ROI with Microsoft Application Virtualization

Today Microsoft and Aspen Technology announced that the first deployment of aspenONE software using Microsoft Application Virtualization was completed by long-time customer BASF. Headquartered in Ludwigshafen, Germany, BASF is the leading chemical company in the world. BASF used Microsoft Application Virtualization to accelerate how quickly its worldwide process engineering team can begin using and realizing value from new releases and updates of the aspenONE Process Engineering suite.

By using Microsoft Application Virtualization to deploy aspenONE software, BASF is now achieving additional IT and operational cost savings and faster performance improvements. Microsoft’s virtualization technology decouples applications from operating systems and runs software as network services, making applications available whenever and wherever they are needed, even when disconnected from the network.
