Google Apps Face Long Road Against MS Office in the Enterprise | CIO - Blogs and Discussion
Great article from Shane. I enjoyed it and I think he covers some very important points. I think he gets to the root of the issue with this comment:
“But still, important company documents will still live on Google's servers, and that's a major security sticking point for businesses that won't go away anytime soon.”
My customers make machines that make chips and technologies for defense, super computers and other very strategic and critical systems for our country. Its really all about losing the most valuable asset a company has…Their Intellectual Property.
I also wanted to answer his question about where MSFT will make $$ from this. We approach this as an option to their Enterprise. We give the customer “choice”. So when you ask “How will we make money?” – by giving our customers a choice and terrific value.
