Understanding What Google Apps Is (And Isn't) - CIO.com - Business Technology Leadership
More and more everyday my customers are approached by the Google team. I find the competition refreshing and forced me to understand our differences and similarities.
What is most obvious might be the consideration of security. But it isnt always about that. Many of my customers are as the article states - extremely short staffed and overworked. They look to find ways to fulfill the needs (sort of similar to the power company) and "keep the lights on" while trying to create a strategic advantage over their competition.
I encourage my customers to understand more about the advantage of having both choices (hosted and client) so that they can make a more prudent decision and not get wrapped into the "sexiness" of having made a decision for thier enterprise.
