Thanks for this article. I was having problems with a Java app that is 1.4.2_05 after installing Java 1.5.

I'm not so sure your fix is such a good idea though. If you have other applications that write to the HKCU\SOFTWARE\CLSID that don't rbound as well as Java, those will get broken any machine you run this on.

I think it is a bad idea to allow a virtual application to make permenant changes to the host registry. Is there a way to make this registry change affect the virtual bubble?
