Cool InformationWeek article on App-V 4.5

I came across this article and thought you might find it interesting.  The title is Microsoft Application Virtualization 4.5 Nears Release and it discusses how the State of Indiana and the Fairfax County School District in Virginia are looking at how they can cut management headaches by expanding their use of Microsoft Application Virtualization.  To read the article visit:

It's definitely worth a quick read.

Hey... thanks for the mention on the blog.  This is Chris Lewis, from Fairfax County Public Schools, and we're excited about expanding our use of App-V this fall with several schools.

We're migrating now (over the summer) to 4.5 RC and will be moving to into RTM when it releases and is fully vetted inside our environment.

We've had alot of positive feedback from those who are using it and interest from those who aren't yet using it.

My best comment on this technology is that it really does as much (in terms of value add) for the end-user as it does for the IT management staff... there aren't that many IT products you can really say that about -- most are targeted to either the admins or the users.

Cheers,

Chris
