SoftGrid 4.2 Is Now Available

This week we released the latest version of the Microsoft Desktop Optimization Pack for Software Assurance (MDOP) on http://licensing.microsoft.com, including the SoftGrid 4.2 Client and Sequencer which add Vista compatibility.

The CD image also contains the Diagnostic and Recovery Toolkit, Asset Inventory Service, Advanced Group Policy Management and System Center Desktop Error Monitoring.  For more information on these other products see this MDOP overview page.

The SoftGrid versions in the MDOP package include:

The SoftGrid Virtual Application Server (VAS) version 4.1.1.302

The SoftGrid Client version 4.2.0.302

The SoftGrid Sequencer version 4.2.0.303

Note that there is no 4.2 version of the SoftGrid Virtual Application Server.  Version 4.2 of the Client and Sequencer are all that is required for Vista compatibility - the VAS version is the same as in 4.1 SP1.

Enjoy!
