An October Small Business Nation survey revealed that nearly three quarters of Britain's small business believe the government could ‘do more' to support them. Simplifying regulations was top of the ‘wanted' list, followed by reducing business-related taxes. More incentives and better advice were also significant asks. You can read more about the report and download it here.

The ‘State of the Small Business Nation Report' claims "Small businesses are the lifeblood of the UK economy, accounting for 47.1% of UK employment (10.55 million jobs) and 37.2% of turnover (£967.2 billion). However, they are perhaps the least understood of all of the business sectors due to their diversity and distribution across the UK."
