since it is my 1st-ever posting for MS, i thought i'd share my recent field trip to Redmond campus (home of MS HQ). It was the 1st time i was on campus as well, and i was playing host to SUPER-FLY teens who had won the National Infocomm Competition organised by IDA.

there were 19 students, and unlike nightmarish visions of running after hormonally-charged teenagers, it was pretty smooth-sailing from get-go. luckily i had some responsible teachers with me, who took great care with the students, and i just had to be the MS-know-it-all.

So i took them to 2 top-secret facilities, the Centre for Information Work and Home of the Future - awesome doesn't quite describe it - it was (and say it with me...) SUPER-FLY. Now i'd love to tell you all about it, but i'd have to...so suffice to say that part of the trip was really a highlight for the students.

next to meeting the man himself of course..oh yeah, did i mention we all had a private session with BillG? Now THAT was cool - i mean the man's so (get ready...) SUPER-FLY, but had no airs around him. i think he immediately put everyone at ease with his easy manner, so that was really cool.

Lucky Livvie (the only gal winner of the group) got to stand right next to him at the photo shoot, and how much you wanna bet she's attempting her photoshop skills now? :)

as for yours truly...yep, this pix is about as close to a 1:1 pix with him..i mean, what did you expect me to do? run up salivating?

anyhow, till later then...work calls..
