Applying a patch to Server Core

Well, I managed to miss posting last week. Perhaps I'll make this an every other week thing, it is tough to post something every week. Again, I’m open to suggestions for topics to discuss. This week I want to discuss how to apply a patch on Server Core.

Event Logs in Server Core

This week I’m going to talk a bit about event logs, since they are so important to figuring out any issues that might be occurring on a server. You can either view the event logs remotely using the Event Viewer MMC or locally using command line tools.

Activation in Server Core

I missed Friday last week due to the short week, so I’ll see if I can post twice this week. I’ve received several questions in the last week dealing with activation, so I thought I would post some information on activation. There is a VBScript in Vista/Longhorn
