Another SBS MVP joins the list in Australia
Seems I like spoke too soon when listing all the Australian SBS MVPs because we now have another to add to the pile.
I'm happy to introduce Susanne Dansey - ex UK, now firmly settled in Sydney after moving to Australia back in March & ready to spread a little bit of SBS cheer in her own unique way.
I got to know Susanne whilst working at Microsoft UK & she was busy managing her family business, help lead the UK SBS community, run SBS user groups, meet with Steve Ballmer, provide lots of feedback & all sorts of other stuff so I'm looking forward to seeing the impact she can make on these shores.
So, our list of Aussie SBS MVPs is now:
Stuart Applegate Mick Malloy Dean Calvert Henry Craven Michael Jenkin Wayne Small Susanne Dansey Cheers & thanks all,
Robbie
Name: Susanne Dansey
Company: Dell Australia
Location: Sydney
Years in business: Dell have been around since 1984
Describe your business in 25 words or less: Established in 1993, Dell Australia is now more looking to offer more services to the SMB segment and is making good progress in facilitating their market better.
What are you passionate about in business?: People, People, and People; it really doesn't matter what 'tin' you sell, it's about understanding the customer and their needs and giving them the answers. What's more, being involved in lots of different scenarios allows you to learn and develop yourself so that you can pass on your experience for others to benefit from.
How long have you been an SBS MVP? Since 2007
How long have you been in IT? Nine years
What are you most looking forward to with the launch of SBS 2008? It will be interesting to see how much more time is freed up from the IT administrators and how they use that. If SBS 2008 can help assist with more efficient maintenance processes, then IT can become better involved with business strategy and innovation.
What’s the one thing Microsoft can do to really help partners get up to speed with the new version? I think most proactive Partners are pretty sorted on this and it's up to others to catch up if they can. The one ask I would make is that other staff in the Partner's business are catered for i.e. sales and marketing so that each department can assist each other in going to market efficiently.
Who’s your favourite Muppets character? Gonzo; always loyal and always looking to do things better than before.
