Google - Evil - OpenDNS

Looks like I'm not the only one noticing that Google is increasingly becoming more evil as days go by:

This is yet another reason (as if one were needed) to completely format the drive of any OEM PC and to just install a fresh, clean copy from the Windows CD / DVD with no bundled crapplets.

Yes, excellent strategy. If only Microsoft's OEM partners allowed customres to do this. Instead they usually provide only a restore disk or partition to get both Windows and the crapplets back.

I propose (and will follow up with this in an eWEEK column) that Microsoft provide, for a small fee to registered users, a naked copy of Windows with the same activation key as their OEM copy. I suppose OEMs might object and perhaps their contracts present a problem for my proposal.
