I chatted with Keven as he was waiting for a Giant Slalom downhill ski race to start. Being from Vancouver, he's influenced by Ski and sporting events - it's a natural extension to volunteer for Sport BC and the Canada Games. He was instrumental in creating a refined method of distributing data and information about sporting events and sporting results from a central portal with a SQL back end. One of the motivators for keeping him going is the thanks he gets from the athletes and their families when they use the solution to keep updated.  He makes a great observation about how IT Pros out there should check into helping and volunteering with charitable / non proffit / sports organizations to get them up to speed on current enabling technology.
