I'm looking forward to the next release that's for sure. I use SCVMM to manage an online testing centre within a Further Education College. It's an awesome product that makes light work of managing all of the diverse exam platforms that we have to provide for.

We use the self service portal for the staff of the centre to start and stop virtual machines, usually in batches of 12. Typically they launch a server and admin workstation images followed by 12 classroom images having already shutdown any previous platform.

This is quite cumbersome in the portal as you can only interact with one machine at a time, is this likely to be improved on at all? Even better would be restricted access to the admin console,at the moment we would have to give them too much access to the system. Also would it be possible to have ad admin console that didn't need to be run in the same domain, or indeed a domain at all?

Keep up the good work....Jason.

I fully agree on jason post: SCVMM is an awesome product.

I use it to manage serveral virtual servers (2 clusters and several standalone servers) and about 50 virtual machines (we have 1200 servers).

I began test on Hyper-V, I have a lab with several physical servers that i want to P2V on the new Hyper-V server.

I am waiting the begining of the beta progrma to use it with Hyper-V
