Introduction
Those who know the history of HMC, will probably remember that it has a humble beginning, it started with Hosted Exchange as the core. Eventually, as some of the other products become more matured and calls for more communication and collaboration tools, it evolves into HMC where it allows service providers to offer more than just Hosted Exchange but also allow them to complete their offerings with Windows SharePoint Services Hosting, Hosted Office Communication Server and etc.
The word 'Hosted' or 'Hosting' somehow seems to mean 'complicated' to many people and HMC to a lot of people is like a black box. The fact is, there is really nothing difficult about it. It sounded difficult because not many has experience in configuring a product to cater for hosting or multi-tenant environment.
Here, I intend to highlight a couple of areas on a very high-level to clarify how and what HMC 4.5 has introduced to allow multi-tenancy for Windows SharePoint Services (WSS) 3.0.

Introduction
So far, we have discussed what and how we have tweaked Exchange 2007 SP1 for HMC 4.5 so that it can be catered for multi-tenants. However, I should highlight that there are still more to be discussed, for example Unified Messaging, Free/Busy and Availability Services and OWA segmentation. Here, I am going to conclude this series but before doing so, there are a few topics that I like to briefly cover.

Introduction
So, we have covered quite a fair bit by now. In part #1, we talked about how we can properly partition the Active Directory so that each company or tenant can coexist in the same environment but yet remain isolated and segregated. In part #2, we talked about how we have tweaked the address list so that each tenant will only see what they are supposed to see. In part #3, we further explore how Offline Address Book needs to be tweaked in to work in a multi-tenant environment and in part #4, we discussed about how Out-of-Office doesn't work completely out of the box in a hosted Exchange environment and what HMC has introduced to make it work better.
