Voilà un message que l’on pense ne jamais écrire mais tout a une fin !

Il se trouve qu’après avoir présenté PowerShell depuis 5 ans chez Microsoft et animé ce blog depuis 1 an (et d’autres), je vais quitter Microsoft dans les prochains jours.

Vous ne me retrouverez donc plus sur ce site mais pour ceux qui souhaite ne pas perdre la trace, vous pourrez me retrouver via les multiples réseaux sociaux, notamment les suivants :

Ce n’est donc qu’un au revoir, j’en suis sûr !

Et comme j’aime tout particulièrement les citations, je voudrais finir avec une que j’apprécie, que j’ai utilisée plusieurs fois lors de mes présentations PowerShell et qui s’applique bien à PowerShell :

« J’ai refait tous les calculs, ils confirment l’opinion des spécialistes : mon idée est irréalisable. Il ne me reste plus qu’une seule chose à faire : la réaliser »

Poshboard V1 beta

Antoine Habert me prévient de la dispo de PoshBoard V1 !

La toute première release de Poshboard V1 Beta est disponible sur codeplex !

Cette release introduit notamment le GUI Widget Designer, qui est le premier exemple de code permettant la création d'interfaces Silverlight en PowerShell, et ceci en temps réel !

Introducing PoshBing – The PowerShell library for Microsoft’s Bing Search Engine

Microsoft released their new search engine called “Bing” at, aptly named, http://www.bing.com.

The Bing API has the concept of “SourceTypes” which are essentially data sources that you can search into. My script library provides access to the Image, InstantAnswer, News, MobileWeb, Phonebook, RelatedSearch, Spell, Web, Translation, and Video SourceTypes with the following functions:

Get-BingImage – Search the Image SourceType for a list of images including properties about the media files.

Get-BingInstantAnswer – Get single, authoritative answers to questions.

Get-BingNews – Provide news specific to a topic, a location, or breaking news.

Get-BingMobileWeb – Returns mobile web results, primarily relevant XHTML or WML pages.

Get-BingPhonebook – Enables you to view details about a business for which you are searching as if they were a phonebook entry.

Get-BingRelatedSearch – View searches that provide information in which you might be interested, based on your current search.

Get-BingSpell – Query alternative spellings for a given word or phrase.

Get-BingWeb – Get pages relevant to the queried terms.

Get-BingTranslation – Translate a term from one language to another.

Get-BingVideo – return a list of videos and their properties relevant to the query terms.

Hands on with Windows Server 2008 r2: Admin tools

Here are some common commands:

To load the AD DS module, use Add-Module ActiveDirectory, then Get-Module

To get information about a domain, use Get-ADDomain domain_name

To display information about domain controllers in a specific domain, use Get-ADDomainController -Discover

To browse a specific domain, with results neatly formed in a table, "change directory" into AD via Cd AD: and then use the following series of commands:

PWD

DIR | Format-Table -Auto

CD "DC=domain_name,DC=TLD"

DIR | ft –a

Si vous avez lu mes messages sur le sujet (notamment : Les TechDays 2009, fin … et un portail d'administration en Ajax, Silverlight et Powershell ?) ou étiez présents aux TechDays lors de la session OPT304, vous apprécierez de pouvoir “jouer” avec la toute dernière version 0.x de Poshboard. Elle est disponible sur Codeplex comme indiqué par Antoine sur son Blog :

Voici quelques détails :

Dans cette version, vous allez pouvoir tester les nouveaux widgets présentés aux Techdays, basés sur Blacklight et l'excellent Silverlight book control

Le Refresher est à nouveau de la partie, ainsi qu'une nouvelle possibilité de rafraichir (ou pas) les scripts de la page via un simple clic de bouton.

Vous aurez aussi l'occasion de tester le service web WCF PowerShell dans les widgets flipbook et wcfPowershelloutput

Si vous avez déjà installé PowerShell vous connaissez sans doute déjà tous ce logo :

: il s'agit de l'icone du programme powershell.exe (qui a défaut de logo officiel permet d'avoir une identité visuelle associée à PowerShell)

Mais connaissez-vous celui-ci ?
