Absolutely amazing!

This will definetly be the most significant graphical overhaul of Flight Simulator in its history.

We live in interesting times!

Amazing !

I LOVE the bumpmap on the ground on the pic with the baron !

I'm so impatient to go to the store and get a copy to try all the things you guys did for us to enjoy !! :P

Nice!

It just became clear to me - after two versions with roads baked into the ground texture - that (major) roads are now polygonal again [judging from the last screenshot].

Owen:
Thanks! Hope the homelife is good and busy...  ;)

Pretty big jump, I agree.

Matthieu:
Thanks!

Andreas:
I think that's just an illusion-- the roads are not polygonal (and we're still experimenting with what they'll look like for the final, shipping version). If they were, we'd be very far down the path of worldwide non flat airport surfaces...

Ok, I have re-checked some screenshots with the magnifier, and I must confess that the roads don't look too much polygonal (not too bad at all).

However, I think the roads match surprisingly well the curvature of the terrain, so I guess there are some terrain-modification hacks involved. I'm eager to find it out next christmas ;).
