That's what I thought the sound was! Upon further review, the hard drive was making that horrible noise. Server is dead, completely dead! Drive imploded on itself. Well, off to another "migration". Thank goodness for my replica domain controller. Seized the roles, deleted the Exchange objeccts out of AD, installed SBS on my workhorse Dell Precision 610 (Xeon 550), canelled the setup at the Windows portion, DCPromo'ed in, etc...etc...etc...
With the SBS2003 SP1 media, I still had 32 CRITICAL updates from Microsoft Update. Back up and running again.
