November 2008 Product Lifecycle Update
Die Änderungen des Support Lifecycle sind zu ausgewählten Produkten in den folgenden Abschnitten dargestellt.

- Windows 2000 Professional
- Am 13. Juli 2010 endet der Extended Support for Windows 2000 Professional.
- Nach diesem Stichtag besteht die Möglichkeit des Self-Help Online Support.
- Zu dem Produkt wird Custom Support angeboten. In Kürze werden dazu Preisinformationen und weitere Details folgen.
- Windows 2000 Server
- Am 13. Juli 2010 endet der Extended Support for Windows 2000 Server.
- Nach diesem Stichtag besteht die Möglichkeit des Self-Help Online Support.
- Zu dem Produkt wird Custom Support angeboten. In Kürze werden dazu Preisinformationen und weitere Details folgen.
- Windows XP
- Der Mainstream Support für Windows XP wird bis 14. April 2009 fortgeführt.
- Nach diesem Datum wird Windows XP in die Extended Support Phase übergehen.
- Die Extendet Support Phase für Windos XP endet voraussichtlich am 8. April 2014.
- Der Support für Windows XP Service Pack 2 (SP2) endet am 13. Juli 2010.
- Mögliche Erweiterungen zur Veröffentlichung beeinflussen nicht die Stichtag zu Mainstream und Extended Support.
- Windows Server 2003 and Windows Server 2003 R2
- Am 13. Juli 2010 wird Windows Server 2003 von Mainstream Support in die Extended Support Phase übergehen.
- Die Extended Support Phase endet voraussichtlich am 14. Juli 2015.
- Windows Messenger 4.7 running on Windows Server 2003 and Windows Server 2003 R2:
- Der Support endet am 13. Oktober 2009.
- Begründung: Windows Messenger 4.7 keine Komponente von Windows Server 2003 oder Windows Server 2003 R2 .
- Windows Messenger 4.7 on Windows XP
- Support für diese Komponente im Rahmen des Mainstream Support und Extended Support für Windows XP geführt.
- Begründung: Windows Messenger 4.7 ist eine Komponente von Windows XP.
