I saw a thread on flightsim.com that reminded me, so here goes. There have been a few hardcore helicopter enthusiasts that don't like the new easier to fly helicopter

re: Helicopters in FSX

I think you are right, Paul. helicopters offer a wealth of 'things to do' in addition to what fixed wing aircraft can. So they also add to the possibilities in the sim. Having more people have 'access' to them is not a bad thing. Actually, one of the helo freaks was helping me over the weekend, and he LIKES the new helo's...... go figure, eh? ;-)

I'm a heli guy, real world and FS, personally I fly helis about 99% of the time in FS and I've always been curious about the realism aspect.

One thing that kinda has me confused...

If I have my realism settings on easy, shouldn't that make them easy to fly? as apposed to having my settings on hard which would, well make them hard to fly.

Oh while on helis, the 206s co-pilot door when opened outside isn't animated to open in the VC, tsk tsk tsk :)

By the way I also really enjoy the new helicopter stability. If you can't fly them you can't enjoy them and with all the new visuals in FSX I'm glad I can go low and slow to appreciate all of them.
