P-12C Pilot

The Flight Simulator experience and other tangential thoughts
Flying MP in FSX

Those that don't have bugs that must be fixed have all turned into testers, so several of us have been having fun in multi-player sessions. We can't easily access Gamespy from our offices, so we are playing on our LAN.

Yesterday we were flying the sailplane and thermaling over Minden-Tahoe airport which was very cool, and did some helicoptery follow the leader in Hawaii.

Today we were racing in Extra 300's from Glacier Intl to Babbs in Montana. Then did the same course in the Lear 45, but everyone kept overspeeding in the Lear, so we switched back to the Extra.

The scenery was fantastic and the sync was amazingly smooth. Being able to talk to each other through the headset was great as well, and the delay for voice is minimal.

As soon as I finish lunch, I will have to do some more :) Oh the hardship of it all...

Sounds like good fun.

speaking on MP, can you do missions sync up with other players, for Co-Op?

yet... is that like wait for fs11, or addon devs might find away. :D

would be very cool to do a SAR mission while one person flys and the other helps look.

How's the router management? Does everyone still have to reconfigure their firewalls? Will one player still knock everyone else out? FSHost :-)? Are you coming to CH in 11/06? (we won't bite, honest)

I'm not trying to play dumb, but what is CH in 11/06?

As for your questions about routers and firewalls, I know it's much better than FS2004, but I don't know many of the details. Tdragger might be able to answer that one better.
