More Air Racing News
Unfortunately I'm home sick today, but I'll try to get some work done as well. My wife has been patiently asking for my travel schedule this year so I have been tracking down some dates.
I noticed on the official Reno Air Racing website that the Jet class may not be finished and they are considering including other aircraft to race with the L-39's. Could be very interesting! The story is on the far right towards the bottom of the page.
I also noticed that a famous P-51 racer name Galloping Ghost is coming back this year. Jimmy Leeward is the owner and the aircraft has been in restoration for some time and should be ready for Reno this year. Leeward is talking big about being a challenger for race records and the championship, so that will be fun to watch. I've met Mr. Leeward, and he was very gracious and friendly as he let me climb all over his Mustang taking photos.
