PDC keeps Rocking!

I am fascinated not only for what the next computational model (Windows Azure) represents to all of us but also for how Microsoft keeps the promise on realizing the potential of individuals and organizations alike. From the beginning PDC 2008 has been taken such momentum, day after day, session after session. I tip my hat to the team that has made this possible. We all will have a lot to talk about, test, code, install, deploy, evaluate, learn, participate, digest...really it is an exciting time as we get into the real Software + Services era. Today's keynote at PDC, was dedicated to show really great stuff Microsoft Research is doing, in the areas of sensor technologies, WW Telescope expanded, Touch technologies, health and education, each one of them revealing how software is changing the way science solve problems and will help solve future problems impacting our lives!. Loved Microsoft is already thinking about bringing down walls so that kids ca early learn the fundamentals and experience the fun of software programming/development. BOKU, is the the name of a the programming model been developed for kids, combined with the XBOX platform to deliver that early experience. About 4 years ago, I had suggested this wish of a learning environment using XBOX due to the fact of the massive adoption of video games could provide scenarios for learning, but this is genially done!

My 8 years son will be glad to hear this from me tomorrow as I get back home to Seattle. Lot of fun to come!
