Well its almost that time when we (your New York Metro Area Core Infrastructure team) will start up our bi-weekly Wednesday Webcasts. Every other Wednesday from noon till 1pm (eastern) we will present on topics related to the products we cover. Here's what we have on tap for July:

July 2 (12pm-1pm) - System Center Configuration Manager 2007 - Asset Intelligence Feature Deep Dive
July 16 (12pm-1pm) - Using Overrides in System Center Operations Manager
July 30 (12pm-1pm) - Automating System Center Operations Manager with Powershell

August will be focused on Server and Virtualization topics then we will switch to a Windows Client focus in September.

MMS Day 1: Operations Manager Cross Platform Extensions in BETA now!

Now that we are through the first full day of MMS 2008, I thought we'd share some of the happenings of the day.

This year's big announcements focused on our heterogeneous support and virtualization – here's the link to press release. With the cross-platform extensions for System Center Operations Manager 2007 folks will be able to monitor both Windows and Linux. This puts the plumbing in place using industry standard communications (WS-Management) and OpenPegasus which then enables you to leverage management packs to provide the rich monitoring capability that Operations Manager provides.
