Downgrade rights in SBS 2008 Premium Edition

Published 19 November 08 11:39 AM | nking

Wondering what your downgrade rights are with SBS 2008 Premium edition?  As you know we place a copy of Windows Server 2008 Standard Edition in the box with both 32 and 64 bit versions, and SQL Server 2008 Standard (32 and 64 bit).

With downgrade rights you are able to instead deploy;

Windows Server 2003 R2 Standard 32 or 64 bit

and/or

SQL Server 2005 Standard 32 or 64 bit

As the offer FAQ states – Component compatibility for maximum flexibility
