Mac Sign-In Application Released, Available for Download

The Mac Sign-In application has been released and is now available for download from the Microsoft Download Center.

The Sign-In Application provides a convenient way for users with computers using the Apple Macintosh operating system to access their e-mail and data on the Microsoft Online Services platform. The Mac Sign-In application was announced with the October Service Update as part of the expanded Mac support for the Business Productivity Online Suite, and the application was made available as part of a preview program for early adoption and testing.

More information about the expanded support for Mac can be found in the Microsoft Online Services Macintosh Support Service Description, which also can be downloaded from the Microsoft Download Center.

Hi guys

I am trialling BPOS and have a Mac user. On their machine there is no Office Communicator option. Is there an IM network that you recommend a Mac user should use instead and to which Office Communicator would link?

Thanks

Ben

Hi, great to hear that there's a Mac Version -- I hope now Safari won't ask me for my credentials several times on some team sites ;-)

However, it doesn't accept my password... I tried the credentials at home.microsoftonline.com just to make sure they work, but the client refuses them. Do you have any ideas how to get me signed in in the tool?

As a feature for the next versions, automatic configuration of snow leopard's Mail would be awesome. I've been using this client (manuelly configured) for several months and it work's great and even displays Free/Busy information, that Entourage (and my Office 2010 Beta) don't show...

Thanks, Michael.

We have recieved lots of requests for a Mac IM client. It's high on our list of things to do, but we don't have any word yet on when or if a solution will be available.
