Microsoft Online Services Rolls Out to 19 Countries, New Partnership with EDS Announced
Two press releases were published this morning highlighting momentum for the Microsoft Online Services platform and announcing a new partnership with EDS.
- Microsoft Online Services Momentum. The upgrade of the Microsoft Online Customer Portal (MOCP) is complete, and with that upgrade the 9.1 release is fully deployed. MOCP is the commerce engine that power Microsoft Online Services. The MOCP 9.1 release enables the Business Productivity Online Suite to be trialed and purchased in 19 countries around the world. Commercial availability was announced in a March 3 press announcement and blog post; the 9.1 release makes realizes the capabilities noted in the March 3 announcement. In addition to the MOCP upgrade, today's press release talks about momentum with the partner community, including several new partner agreements.
- EDS Partnership. In a separate press release, Microsoft and EDS announce the signing of a reseller agreement for EDS to market, sell, and deliver the Business Productivity Online Suite from Microsoft Online Services to large organizations. With the agreement, EDS becomes Microsoft’s largest delivery partner for BPOS.
