I am having problems performing this action within Outlook 2003. How can I have my delegates mailbox also index and be able to search them via WD4? I have the GPO setting set and I have the delegates mailbox checked but its not working. I assume their mailbox also has to be cached but how do I cache delegate's mailbox within Outlook 2003? This is a very critical point in our testing and if this option is not available within Outlook 2003 then we can not use WD4 for our company. Thanks for all the help.

re: Windows Desktop Search and the implications on WAN performance

Outlook 2003 does not support the CacheOthersMail option as this is new to Outlook 2007, but the options that should work for you is by setting PreventIndexingUncachedExchangeFolders and EnableIndexingDelegateMailboxes simultaneously. This combination is the performance issue that I mentioned, so care needs to be taken that these 2 settings are deployed in smaller groups. If you are on a fast local network, the impact might not be as great.
