Natural language search in Vista

Published 04 February 07 03:03 PM | michalos

I was writing about Vista voice recognition some time ago. Now I found something which makes Vista even more cool - natural language search. When you're using Vista and want to find something, let say pictures from Grand Canyon taken previous week, you would normally type Grand Canyon and expecting to find pictures you've named Grand Canyon Image x or something similar and then you have to look at certain date to make sure they were taken last week.

How about being able to type something like that: "pictures taken in Grand Canyon a week ago" and find exactly the same thing? How cool is that!

All you need to do is to select "Use natural language search" on Search tab in Folder properties.

Check this out.
