Welcome to the new Community Server 2.1!

So here we go, new, fresh Community Server and blog system version 2.1.60926.958.

We have few changes including the most visible one - tags. Quick list of updates:

1. Simplified posting UI. Only title and body are required. Tags can now be added as you write.
2. New light weight WYSIWYG editor.
3. Comment, Spam, moderation updates
4. Five new themes
5. Overall emphasis on tags. You will now see a tag cloud on individual blog pages. Not only can you view posts by tag, but you can see related tags. Also, when signed in as an admin, you should be able to edit tags inline
6. Tags (once the search index update is complete) are now viewable across all blogs
7. “Raw Header” – you can now add tracking scripts to the HTML header of your site. This is helpful for things like Google Analytics (and related tools). See Control Panel > My Blog > Global Settings > Title, Desc, News
8. Posts automatically use SEO friendly naming conventions
9. Support for FeedBurner

OK, in my last post I was criticizing the blogging system a lot. But from what I see now I feel like I already like it. Mostly because of the raw header thing, post editor so similar to the one I know from Wordpress. Still a number of plugins and changes available to Wordpress is overwhelming the one for CS 2.1 but I see a light in the tunnel.
