Citizen of the world

Yesterday late evening I came to Poland for Saturday wedding of my best friend. I didn't take two days off however telling Craig (my boss) I'll be working remotely. All I do (almost) in the office I can do remotely - great, isn't it?

Anyway, two days before my arrival I called other friend in my hometown - Wolbrom - to help me to get the best Internet connection as possible. Day after my phone huge antenna was hanging over my parents' roof. Now my sister and my parents have two independent Internet links - cable (using Cat5) and wireless - both around 1MB (I think).

Yesterday evening I tried to connect and after number of failures I made it eventually! Microsoft has VPN servers all around the world. Before I came to Poland I asked few Polish Microsoft workers in Redmond which VPN is the fastest from Poland. They told me to use Munich, Germany.
So here I am, connected through Munich VPN server, using Terminal Services to connect to server in Redmond to use internal tool to monitor release situation on servers in Dublin. Wow! Again: from Poland, through Germany to west bank of USA and to Dublin. I love this game :)
