Customer Lifecycle, Consumer Lifecycle
Thinking more about the whole area of consumer lifecycle I have been doing some research and come across the following:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Customer_lifetime_value
http://www.whartonsp.com/bookstore/product.asp?isbn=0131428950&rl=1
http://www-stat.stanford.edu/~saharon/papers/ltv.pdf
http://hbswk.hbs.edu/item.jhtml?id=1436&t=marketing
I think that CLV can be split into Customer retention and Customer attention, Customer attention data is the really important part and actually is more important than BI.
There will be a number of companies setting up in the Customer Intelligence space rather than the Business Intelligence space.
I also think that CLV misses some of the closeness and interactivity of the Consumber Lifecycle (CL). CL is going to heavily impacted by Web 2.0 and will be the big growth area for companies.
