An example of those Events/Alert rules that are missing are:

"A resource record for the computer name of the DC is not registered in the DNS database"

"One or more of the DC Locator DNS records are not registered in the DNS database since the primary DNS server doesn't support the dynamic update of the DNS records"

I escalated this to the product group and a bug has been open to address this. In the meantime, it may mean that you will need to create your own custom rules in Operations Manager 2007. Since I am in this situation myself, I refer to the Active Directory Management Pack Technical Reference for MOM 2005 or various KB Articles on http://support.microsoft.com that refer to those key DNS events that have impact to the health and availability of Active Directory. Such examples are:

Event ID 5789 Source NETLOGON - "Attempt to update DNS Host Name of the computer object in Active Directory failed. The following error occurred: The parameter is incorrect." See KB Article 258503.

Event ID 5773 Source NETLOGON - "The DNS server for this DC does not support dynamic DNS." See KB Article 267845.

Any new developments will be posted here as necessary.
