The 2006 TechNet Roadshow Edinburgh
Last week on the 22nd we were in Edinburgh presenting the Roadshow at
Dynamic Earth, despite it being a public holiday it was very well attended. It was great to be in Edinburgh again there were still a few childhood memories; yes Edinburgh is my home town although I left when I was eight years old. I travelled up early on Sunday to prep and to meet with
Steve Lamb so we could take a look around.
Steve suggested a walk up Arthur Seat a hill behind the venue ‘I believe it is an old volcano’ there we would get a good view of the city. One of the stories my dad tells is of us rolling easter eggs down the back of the hill when I was young. We went right to the top by the trig points which is a fair climb and a bit of a scramble, where you get a great 360 degree view of the city and surrounding area. Surprisingly there were quite a few people up there. Having had lots of fresh air and good exercise we retired to the pub for a well deserved local pint. If you get a chance to visit Edinburgh I would recommend the view.
