Microsoft Math 3.0 releasing in Swedish in May

To be totaly inconsistent, minutes after posting the reason why I´m now writing in English, Im here posting a webcast in... wait for it... SWEDISH.

Not to leave out English readers that by some scary incident found his or hers way to this blog i will also give a short description in the extremely cool service the webcast is hosted upon. Namely Silverlight Streaming Service, there are millions of posts (almost) that will go into detail on Silverlight Streaming Service. So the description will be very short.

Silverlight Streaming is a buildning block Service in Microsofts Software + Services strategy. It gives anyone the possibility to build his or hers webstreaming site or service. There is an extensive SDK for it but to get going the hurdles are extremely low, hey I even managed, and I haven't used a IDE for ages. Gives universities, schools and indiviuals possiblity to stream video on a high bandwith with geocluster capacity.

For instance: The University of Jada Jada can upload their recorded lecutures manually or automatically through the service and choose to expose these to the public facing sites OR the authenticated University portals.

Hang on someone is saying here.. Why on earth not use Youtube instead? well for starters the quality, resolution is much higher and only months in the release you already have 1.4 Mbit streaming worldwide. Secondly your files will not be indexed and accessible to anyone in the cloud of course if someone wants to grab the Iframe HTML from your University portal that is possible. But then again so is a digital camera on your lecture.

MSN släppt på allmänheten på Soapbox så vem som helst kan publicera filmer där med sitt LiveID (hotmailkonto kan t.ex. användas men är inget krav)

För att göra detta enkelt kan man installera Windows Live Photo Gallery (Beta) vilket gör det hela busenkelt att publicera upp bilder på Spaces men framförallt videos på Soapbox direkt från klienten.

Fyll på med lite information taggar och annat, samt om den är offentlig eller inte.

På Soapbox finns också information om hur man ”bäddar in” en spelare med filmen på en webbplats, t.ex. en SharePoint webbsida eller kanske en vanlig blogg.
