IE December Out-of-Band Release Information and Webcasts
I just learned some more information and webcast links for security update MS08-078 that we released today. This update addresses a new vulnerability allowing remote code execution in affected versions of Internet Explorer. MS08-078 has a maximum severity rating of Critical for all versions of Internet Explorer. This security update was released outside of the usual monthly security bulletin release cycle.

There are two webcasts that will be hosted by Microsoft planned to address questions about this bulletin. The first one is at 1pm today about 10 minutes from this post. However, there is a second one tomorrow at 11am PT. Registration links are below.
I strongly encourage everybody to download this security update and other non-IE security updates via Windows Update or Microsoft Update.
