&lt;p&gt;Saying &amp;quot;SaaS is a fad&amp;quot; was perhaps inappropriate phrase in hindsight as it was more the term SaaS itself that I dislike, not the concepts underpinning it. The problem when you disect the concepts behind SaaS as I have here is that really you're left just with the fact that this is just about how Software is delivered and the fact is it can be delivered in anyway you want to imagine.&lt;/p&gt;
