Operations and Management Forum 15th March 2005

Yesterday was our latest Architect Forum at TVP and judging by the feedback it was a great success. The audience were very interactive and not shy in asking those difficult questions! So thanks for that as without this interaction the day would not have been half the success it was.

As content owner for these events I am extremely interested in the feedback from attendees and therefore thank those that came up and told me how it is! I am keen that we continue to develop the format of the forums and that they really do hit home with the Architect community – really you as an architect should view this as your opportunity to interact and network with your industry peers and it is really my role to facilitate this by providing events that generate solid debate through the identification of key representatives within the industry to present. So I guess this could well mean you!

We will shortly be moving into our next year’s planning cycle and so I am on the look out for content that is important to all types of architects and architecture. If you feel you can contribute then please feel free to reply or mail me direct.

Once again, thanks to those who attended and special thanks to the following presenters:

Steve Ingall                   The New Operational Architecture

Mike Platt                     Dynamic Systems Initiative

Giovanni Marchetti         Windows Server System

Reference Architecture (WSSRA)

Alfred Biehler                 Ms Operations Manager

Steve Lamb                   Effective Security

Just a final note for your diaries, the next two UK architect forums are as follows:

Integration and Interoperability               26th April 2005

Connected Systems (TBA)                   16th June 2005
