Upcoming Architect forums at Reading

Given my role at Microsoft, I thought it a good idea to share the following events with you. The second event will be my first opportunity to speak at and on behalf of Microsoft so you can guess I am particularly excited. I'm talking about Software factories and DSLs, the initial wave of tools being launched as part of VS2005.

This stuff is really going to major as part of the Microsoft Dynamic Systems Initiative. I love the way DSLs are promoting a 'bottom up' view of modelling and how this will then influence the more traditional 'top-down' process of requirements, analysis and design in software development.

Anyway ... more later ... here's the links I promised earlier with some blurb...

Operations and Management Architect Forum 15 March 2005

IT infrastructures today implement processes that are critical to the running and the success of a business. This infrastructure must therefore be built and managed in a reliable, secure way. During this Architect Forum, we will discuss what guidance is available to achieve the levels of service that you have come to need and expect of IT. Experts on infrastructure design and operations will present the current thinking in those areas.

Interoperability and Integration Architect Forum 26 April 2005

Join us for a day of architectural discussions on how Microsoft provides interoperability and integration approaches to facilitate your enterprise architecture.  Our team of local and regional industry recognized experts will cover a foundation of enterprise architecture patterns as well as current and future interoperability and integration technologies.

(N.B. There will be another Forum on 16th June in London covering” Connected Systems” – details should be available by the beginning of March.)
