You may have heard of Software + Services, “The Cloud”, BPOS, Azure and many others. Essentially what we’re talking about here are services provided via the Internet.

It’s important to point out that Microsoft provides Software PLUS Services. Microsoft provides the power of choice. If you want to run software as a service hosted by Microsoft, drastically reducing implementation and management costs, you can. If you want the power of control, customization and connectivity by running software on-premise, you can. If you want the benefits of both, why not have both?

The Microsoft Business Productivity Online Suite (BPOS), which forms part of our online services, is focused on business productivity capabilities, and encompasses hosted versions of Exchange, SharePoint, Office Communications Server and Live Meeting.
