Hi Mat,

You're right, BSC is an unusual amalgam of technologies. Since we were already using Analysis Services and Sharepoint, we've had BSC installed since its debut. But as a techie myself, I'm still looking for a good business application scenario. With the growing interest in creating scorecards, something should come along soon.

It also seems to me that the scorecard metadata could be leveraged by 3rd-party BI presentation tools vendors, particularly those with Sharepoint or Office add-in products. Anyone you know of working on this - that would provide even more display options?

Did you perchance refer to this Microsoft-contributed white paper: "Bringing the Balanced Scorecard to Life", in preparing to present BSC - I found it very informative?

Yes indeed I did use this document for reference. I didn't know where/if it was obtainable from ms.com - thanks for the link, now others can get a longer version of the story.

If I find anything out about the meta data you refer to - I will reveal it here!
