Unified Communications in a nut shell? - All you need is the 'Electric Wand'

At times it can be quite hard to sum up Unified Communications and more importantly why its useful to have presence and instant messaging rather than using the tried and tested technologies of email and the phone.

Darren Strange today pointed me in the direction of the Electric Wand aka Ewan Dalton.  Ewan has excellently summarised his experiences of Unified Communications,  how he thinks the technology is changing the way he communicates and how it compares to the phone or email. Well worth a read I have personally added it to my Outlook RSS list.
