Differences between IIS 7.0 in Windows Vista and Windows Server 2008

As you know we will get a new version of IIS with Windows Server 2008, IIS 7.0. But we also have it as a part of Vista so what’s really the difference and what’s the reason for it? These questions get answered in this blog post on the IIS blog. I found it an interesting read.

This line summarizes it pretty good: “If IIS7 on Vista is all about enabling people to develop applications on IIS, IIS7 on Server is all about enabling people to deploy and operate application in a high performance, high availability way”
