What did I just get myself into???
Speaking of Executive Briefing presentations, I just volunteered to do one for our Unified Communications Group (UCG – the folks who developed Live Communications Server and Office Communicator) that’s coming up next Monday. I found out right after I had volunteered that Steve Ballmer (yes, my CEO) would be present during my session – yikes! J The account team has requested that I reprise most of the demo that Chris Capossela (the VP in my org) did with SteveB during the People_Ready launch event about a month ago. Talk about pressure!
Anyway, while I go through a couple of sleepless nights this coming weekend preparing for Monday’s session, I’d encourage you to check out the People_Ready Webcast and watch ChrisCap do an awesome job demo’ing many of the key features in the 2007 Office system that increase individual productivity and improve team effectiveness. Jump to 19:08 in the Webcast for Part #1 of the demo, which focuses on Individual Productivity, Collaboration, Search, and Enterprise Content Management; and then to 45:45 for Part #2, which focuses on Business Intelligence. Although many 2007 Office system products and technologies were shown, Office SharePoint Server was clearly at the center of it all and had the most screen time.
I’m now quite excited to do the demo on Monday, but I’m also a bit nervous. We’ll see. I will definitely blog about my experience shortly thereafter, so wish me luck!
