Cool! I saw it too a few hours ago. But why would you want to install PHP and Wordpress on a Vista machine? Or is it just to see if it works correct on a IIS 7 webserver?

Well, some guys that are doing some of the sessions at http://visitmix.com/2008/default.aspx wanted me to. They caught wind of me getting ready to record a screencast of the installations on Windows Server 2008 Core.

They of course want this because developers could then style Wordpress "easily" using Microsoft Expression Web.

I told them I'd look into it. Should be "fun". Grin.

Please create a guide to slipstream SP1 using WAIK. Also please incluse the Sp1 cab link. I have download the exe Sp1 but that exe is only exe. WAIK need cab to integrate the image. So this sp1 exe event winrar can do nothing :(.

Keith, your "fiber pipe" is pretty slow, only a lowly 16Mbps. I'm grabbing it right now at 30Mbps (3MB/s), and it'd go even higher if the MSDN servers weren't RTT-limited, allowing only 10Mbps per TCP-Connection for me, and allowing only 3 simultaneous connections, thus yielding 30Mbps.

My "fiber pipe" (2.3km fiber running 1000Base-LX, 430m copper running VDSL2) allows up to 50Mbps, but Microsoft's servers aren't up for it, regrettably...

Yea, my fibre pipe sucks. :?) It's three years old and getting a little slow. I hope to be upgrading to a 20/20 or 30/30 plan in 2008. I can use the improved upload speed. HD video is phat.

Robert, are you in the US on Verizon FIOS or some other service in some exotic part of the world?

Boris,

The Windows Vista SP1 fully integrated DVD is only offered through four channels that I am aware of. Full Package Product (FPP), Volume License customer Download Center, TechNet Plus subscriber download center, and MSDN subscriber download center.

Now before anyone gets all upset, you can take the original Windows Vista RTM DVD and install it followed by the SP1 download from download.microsoft.com and get essentially the same thing as the integrated DVD experience. There will obviously be an extra install that is performed, but you can clean install pretty quickly.

The download I am talking about isn't available yet, but it is coming.

Where on TechNet Plus is this download please? I have a subscription but I can't see the integrated ISO download - only the 3 which were posted last week (2 x EXE upgrade files, and a DVD image containing the standalone upgrade @ 1.3GB)

OK, sorry ignore my last comment - I found it. I was looking in the Top DOwnloads area, but they "hid" it in the main Downloads area of TEchNEt :)
