Why is SP3 being forced for XP clients? It's the same for PowerShell 2 - can't install it on Windows XP without SP3.

Is this a technical reason or are you just excluding those who haven't upgraded to the most current service pack yet?

SP3 is being pushed because of security features besides the fact that SP2 is in extended support. There are hooks, and features in SP3 that are required for certain things to work properly. Its been out long enough now that there is really no reason not to deploy it.

If it wasn't free I would agree with you, but it is free.

Will this be deployed through WSUS?

No NLA? Im guessing this is something that can't be easily added in XP or we would have already seen it.

Great work. The new RDP protocol is a bless for Remote Desktop users using Office Communicator and LiveMeeting. Will the Remote Desktop Connection Client for Mac 2, available from the Microsoft website, be updated with the new protocol as well?

Hey Keith,

Can the RDP 7 protocol be expected to work with XPe?

I could really utilize the features of RDS using my current thin client environment.
