Will "Live Earth" crater my TiVo ???

liveearthlogo The "Live Earth" concert is just hours from starting and my new TiVo Series 3 HD DVR is in for the workout of it's life.  This concert is being broadcast on Universal HD in it's entirety.  That's 22 hours of high definition recording. 

For those of you not familiar with what's going on, see http://liveearth.msn.com/ or http://www.liveearth.org/.  See the factsheet for the concert venue locations, schedules, artist lineup, etc.  It's an amazing list of talent.  So what venue would you like to be at, and why? 

Go Green !!!  I'm trying to do my part.  Driving less.  Driving an eco friendlier Honda CIVIC.  Now what's with this weather?  The sun is out in Texas for the first time in two months.  This is July for heavens sake.

Dear Mr. Environmentally Friendly,

You would have to agree that any effort on your part to reduce your "carbon footprint" would have to start with the removal of your HD tuners, laptops, firewalls, routers, and all existing PCs within your home. You should probably remove the Harley-Davidson as well.

I can take delivery on Friday.

Funny you should ask. I'm actually trying to figure out how to unplug everything in this house on demand.  It's scary to walk around in here at night.  With all of the little lights, there's no need for a night light.

It would be great if the power plugs and infrastructure in my house was smart and accessible via a computer.  For instance, I'm in my home office right now.  I would love to have a program that I could use to remotely shut down the plugs to the den and save energy.

Sorry, the Harley is going to stay.  It gets like 50 miles to the gallon so I'm ok with that big thumping noise.

As I recall, there's a relatively new Harley dealership in Allen that I'm sure would be happy to help fill in that space with his and her bikes. See http://www.harley-davidson.com/wcm/Content/Pages/Motorcycles/motorcycles.jsp?locale=en_US for this years selection.  

It's sad I don't see the Springer in the model line.  Guess I should have bought one.
