I have many scenarios where I can describe its usefulness. But one that I had not thought of but was given by an attendee was the scenario where he is driving home after a meeting with his head full of ideas and innovation, how does he get this down so his thoughts are not lost. Of course .. he calls up Exchange and records this thoughts, not only ensuring this valuable ideas are saved to a central and unified mailbox but also having the ability to send it to other colleagues, allowing for further ideas to flourish.

If you are not sure what Unified Messaging is then check out

The MS Exchange team blog.

If you want to set this up to demo see the following

http://www.microsoft.com/technet/prodtechnol/exchange/e2k7help/08e67a99-e37f-4afd-bd58-455b62580af7.mspx?mfr=true

If you want to take this a step further check out your current compatibility check out this
