Snow Day - Time to test Exchange 2007
So yesterday the snow falls all over the country and lots of us cannot get into work. Employees that cannot get in will be using OWA and RPC/HTTP sending the "I'll be working from home today...." emails and downloading all their mails and using availabilty to reschedule meetings.
This is when the CAS boxes really get tested.
Well yesterday our CAS load almost doubled with a growth in connections of almost 70%. The servers did not even bat an eyelid and proves Exchange 2007 can cope with anything.
So while the snow is not good for the majority of companies it is a good time for IT guys to assess if there boxes can cope with an abnormal growth in load.
One thing is for certain Exchange 2007 can, so make sure you evaluate it
